Planning a move or changing rooms? We review the furniture and its condition before confirming disassembly or reassembly, so the agreed work reflects what the piece can reasonably support.
Start with the furniture's model and current condition
Disassembly and reassembly need a different review from a new boxed build. Send the product link or model number, photos of the complete furniture and close-ups of any damaged joints or fittings. Tell us its age if known, whether it has been moved before and what you want done.
Include all components, such as drawers, doors, shelves and storage sections. If instructions are available, share them too. We need to understand how the furniture is constructed before deciding whether the requested work is suitable; not every item is intended to come apart and be rebuilt.
For a move, identify where disassembly and reassembly would happen and describe the access at both locations. We can then review the condition, instructions and complete scope before confirming whether to accept the job.
Agree exactly what needs to come apart
The aim is to identify the work required for your planned move or room change. Tell us which doorways, stairs or other access constraints are driving the request, and send photos where helpful. We need to review the furniture and route rather than assume that every component should be removed.
Existing damage, worn fasteners or previous repairs may limit the work that can be accepted. If a concern becomes apparent during the agreed work, the next step needs to be discussed before proceeding with the affected part. Missing or damaged fittings may require the correct replacement.
Upholstery removal, fabric alterations and improvised structural modifications are outside this service. Moving or transport arrangements should also be identified separately so everyone understands the furniture work included in the quote.
Plan the rebuild around parts, instructions and access
For reassembly, the original components, required hardware and model instructions need to be available. If someone else disassembled the item, send photos of the parts and explain how the fittings were kept together. An unfamiliar pile of panels is not enough to confirm that the furniture can be rebuilt.
The destination also matters. Share the intended position, room access and any model-specific anchoring requirements. A piece that fitted its previous room may need a different site review before it can be assembled in the new location.
Confirm dates only once the relevant move and access arrangements are clear. Any indoor furniture assembly workmanship coverage is subject to the 12-month policy terms; it remains separate from the product warranty. The condition review and agreed scope are essential to acceptance.
